While Hearthstone is gaining popularity and growing its fan base, the game remains at core a very simple online trading card game but lacks a few core features that player around the world would wish to have within the game. GameInformer had the chance at Gamescon 2014 to talk with producer Yong Woo about Hearthstone and its upcoming feature.
“One of our most requested features is a spectator or observer mode. We want to make tournaments easier to stream. We want to capture that ‘over the shoulder’ feeling when you’re watching friends play. There’s a hunger for more social elements and we want to explore social experiences through this mode, offer that to your friends,” says Woo. “You’ll come online, see a friend playing, and be able to watch. It’s in active development right now, and while we don’t have an ETA just yet, it’s coming along.”
A full expansion is also in the work for Hearthstone, not a simple adventure mode like Naxxramas (which is still amazing to have!) Another core feature that Blizzard is considering is a co-op mode aka 2vs2 battle.
“Yeah. I mean we have a list of things we want to do with Hearthstone and we think they are all awesome. Co-op is one of them. I think a double-headed dragon could be really cool.”
We are looking forward to see those features implemented in the game and we will keep you updated on every details! Stay tuned.
Blizzard Entertainment revealed its new CGI opening cinematic for the upcoming expansion of its popular MMORPG and the release date for it, earlier this week in Los Angeles.
This new expansion will add a lot of new content to the game. They hope to bring back a few players to the game because its player base is down from a few million now. Warlords of Draenor will add new areas for PvP, new zones and dungeons and it will also raise the level cap to 100 and grant you a unique boost for one of your existing character to level 90.
This expansion will also introduce a visual upgrade for most characters and some more environnements in the game. You can already pre-purchase it via Battle.net and it will be available worldwide on November 13.
The popular top-down criminal shooter is coming to your PS4 on August 19 in North America and August 20 in Europe. The game will be cross-buy compatible so if you already purchased the PS3 or the PS Vita version of the game, you will get it for free on your PS4.
The game will be the same as the actual version but will simply offer some Dualshock 4 specific features.
“Gamers can now use DualShock 4′s touch pad to look around and lock on enemies, and actually shake the controller itself to perform execution moves when you have an enemy pinned on the ground,” explains PS4 developer Devolver Digital.
Additionally, Hotline Miami 2 should be released in the third quarter of 2014 and it will be a direct sequel to the actual title.
“You’re a murderer, you murder people. Again. And again,” reads the official blurb. “How certain you are of your actions and what is, and what is not, real is what you must determine in Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number.”
